Curriculum

What you will learn, stage by stage

Month 1 · Research & Foundations Intensive

Weekend studios (Sat–Sun, 4–6 hrs/day) begin at full depth: research method mastery with real participants, problem framing, and craft diagnostics that set your personal development plan. Weekday self-work: structured drills, ~6–8 hrs. Deliverable: a rigorous research study and tested problem definition.

Month 2 · Interaction & Information Architecture at Depth

Complex flows, IA for large products, edge-case and error-state craft, cross-platform conventions; weekly critiqued studio builds. Deliverable: a complete interaction architecture for a substantial product, usability-tested twice.

Month 3 · UI Craft & Design Systems

Advanced visual systems: typography and colour at PG standard, tokens, Figma variables and modes, resilient component libraries with documentation. Deliverable: a themed design system powering your project's high-fidelity screens.

Month 4 · Specialisation Track

Choose depth: UX Research, Design Systems, or Interaction & Motion. Track-specific weekend masterclasses and a specialist project with a domain mentor. Deliverable: a specialist artifact that differentiates your profile in senior interviews.

Month 5 · Industry Studio

A live brief with a partner team under real constraints — stakeholders, deadlines, trade-offs. Weekend studios become working sessions; you ship. Deliverable: shipped or ship-ready product work with documented decisions.

Month 6 · Portfolio, External Jury & Placement

PG-grade case studies assembled and rehearsed; defence before an external jury of senior designers; interview and negotiation coaching; placement drive into the hiring network. The credential is earned at the jury — never by attendance.

Certification & FAQ

A certificate that means something when someone checks it.

You're assessed on real project work and a final portfolio jury — not attendance. Every graduate receives a certificate with a unique, verifiable ID. Assessment rubrics are public.

How is this different from the PG in Human-Centred Product Design?
This PG goes deep on the craft itself — research, interaction and UI systems mastery with a specialisation track. The other PG adds strategy and leadership breadth. Choose craft depth or strategic breadth.
Is this suitable for working designers?
Yes — it's built for graduates and practising designers who want senior-track depth, with evening and weekend scheduling.
Do I need a design degree to join?
No. Any graduate can apply; practising designers without degrees are assessed via portfolio review during admissions.
What specialisations are available?
Design for AI products, Service Design, Design for Bharat (multilingual and low-bandwidth users), or DesignOps foundations — chosen in Term 4 with mentor guidance.
How often do batches start?
New cohorts open every 15 days; counselling confirms the intake that aligns with the term calendar and your schedule.
What does the external jury involve?
You present your industry capstone to senior designers from outside the school and defend it under questioning — exactly like a senior hiring loop.
Can I pay the PG fee in instalments?
Yes — extended EMI tenures are available for PG programmes, alongside Scholarship Test discounts up to 30%.
What roles does this prepare me for?
Senior UX/UI Designer, Product Designer and specialist tracks (AI products, service design) — with the portfolio depth those interviews demand.
